Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Are Married
The Stranger Things star, 20, and the model, 22 who is the son of Jon Bon Jovi, secretly tied the knot in a wedding ceremony last weekend, PEOPLE has learned.
According to The Sun, Bongiovi's parents Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi were in attendance along with Brown's parents. "It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows." The outlet also reported that the couple is planning a larger, ceremony later this year.
The pair — who sparked romance rumors in June 2021 when Bongiovi shared a selfie with the actress — first connected through Instagram. They “were friends for a bit” before they started dating, the actress told Wired in 2022.
Brown and Bongiovi then stepped out holding hands in New York City later that month. They also made several red carpet appearances together as a couple, including the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards and the season 4 premiere of Brown's Netflix series, and continued to share snapshots of their relationship on Instagram.
In 2023, the Enola Holmes star kicked off the new year by calling Bongiovi her “partner for life,” and, four months later, Bongiovi popped the question.
Brown announced the couple's engagement on Instagram on April 11 with a black-and-white photo of her and model embracing. The singer captioned the announcement with a line from Taylor Swift's "Lover”: "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all 🤍."
“I don't know if age matters,” the Bon Jovi frontman, 62, said of the young couple. “If you find the right partner and you grow together ... my advice really is growing together is wise. I think that all of my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with and we like them all.”
"Millie is wonderful," the rock icon said, adding that his son is "very, very happy."
